So clearly my attempt at {31 for 21} has been a failure of epic proportions. I’m not sure when we October ran past me, but it did and suddenly I’ve woken up and there are only 13 days left in this month. I had started with, what I thought was, a great idea – taking single posts to talk about the peices of Lily’s life that don’t always fit in the category of “general knowledge”; posts that explained exactly why she’s fed with a g-tube or what explaining more about her vison issues. I had thought that by breaking those down that people may be able to see that while it all may seem complicated, they’re all just a part of life with Lily.
As I began writing different posts though, I really began to struggle. What could I say that people would actually want to know? What could I begin to tell people that would be so different from our regular posts and start to highlight not only Down syndrome, but special needs in general and show how these things really aren’t better or worse than anything else you could expect from a child – they’re just different.
So, I’m leaving this up to you. Please ask away – fill out the form below and ask any of the questions that you’ve ever had about Lily, Down syndrome, CHD’s, adoption – any question that may have jumped in your head and you wondered if it was okay to ask. I’m saying that it is and I will try to answer any reasonable question that comes across my plate (reasonable as in, any question that doesn’t cross the line from “curious” to “inappropriate”). You don’t have to leave any personal information (unless you want to, but it won’t be shared) – just ask away!
